Min. Angela Hamb

Church Administrator

Min. Angela Hamb was born in Chicago, Illinois to Raymond Sr. and Elnora P. Hamb on March 28, 1966. She is the younger of two children born to this union. The late Raymond Hamb, Jr. is her older brother. Angela is the mother of Carlton E. Fields, Jr. her only child and the love of her life, and the aunt to Shelbi J. Hamb and Raymond Hamb III. Angela was educated at First Evangelical Lutheran School, Blue Island, IL from 1972 – 1980, Morgan Park High School, Chicago, IL from 1980 – 1984, and Lane College, Jackson, TN 1984 – 1988 where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.


Ms. Hamb has been a member of St. Paul CME Church all of her life and has served in many different capacities. Choir member, Youth Usher, Pianist/ Organist, Missionary at all levels (Rossie T. Hollis (children’s circle), Mattie E. Coleman (youth circle), and Phyllis H. Bedford Circle (young adult circle), and is the immediate Past President of the Missionary Society and Youth Sunday School Teacher. Currently she serves as the Office Administrator for the church, and Leader of Commission on Evangelism.

On the District Level she has served as the Assistant Secretary and Treasurer to the Women’s Missionary Society Chicago District. On the Connectional Level she served as Administrative Assistant and Convention Services Manager for Dr. Elnora P. Hamb (Immediate Past President Women’s Missionary Council) during her term from 2003 until 2011.


Angela has a passion for Mission work and has a heart to help anyone who is in need. Her ultimate goal is to one day open a Home for Women and Teenage girls who have lost their way. Her favorite scripture is Romans 6:4 which states

“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”
